Triage is the process of identifying patients and making decisions in determining which
patients are at risk of dying, at risk of experiencing disability, or at risk of worsening their clinical
condition if they do not receive immediate medical attention, and which patients can safely wait. In triage
learning, students are expected to be able to determine the condition of the patient who is indeed an
emergency department and conditions that are at risk of an emergency to get proper and timely treatment
according to the triage category.
