Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) proudly announces that the student team “Tim Go-Stunting” has achieved remarkable success at two prestigious international competitions in May 18, 2024. Comprising undergraduate Nursing, Professional Nursing, and Informatics Technology students, the team won the Gold Medal at The World Young Inventors Exhibition (WYIE) 2024 in Malaysia and the Hongkong Special Gold Award at the Hongkong Yan Chai STEAM Faire.
Tim Go-Stunting, short for “Get Out Stunting with Mental Health Prevention,” presented an innovative approach combining physical health and mental well-being to address stunting in children. Their project stood out for its originality, practical application, and impact potential, earning them top honors among global competitors.

The World Young Inventors Exhibition, held annually in Malaysia, is a renowned platform showcasing the brightest young minds in innovation and technology. Winning the Gold Medal at this event signifies exceptional achievement and positions the team as leaders in their field.
The Hongkong Special Gold Award from the Hongkong Yan Chai STEAM Faire further highlights the team’s outstanding work. This award is given to projects that demonstrate exceptional creativity and effectiveness in the fields of Science, Nursing, and Technology.

Mrs. Vinami Yulian, PhD, Head of Ners Profession of UMS, expressed his pride in the students’ accomplishments: “This recognition on an international stage reflects the dedication and ingenuity of our students. Their success is a testament to the high standards of education and research at UMS. We are immensely proud of their achievements and grateful for the support from our faculty and the community.”
